Five-parameter grain boundary analysis of a titanium alloy before and after low-temperature annealing

The five-parameter grain boundary analysis has been applied for the first time to a titanium alloy. The boundary distribution was related to the b-to-a phase transformation and to deformation twinning. There was a very strong planes texture, only partially related to twinning, which did not diminish during long-duration, low-temperature annealing. 2007 Acta Materialia Inc.
